The Dallas Move-Out Cleaning Checklist (What Property Managers Actually Check)
July 10, 2026 · Klean Sweep
Security deposits in Dallas don't disappear because of big damage — they get chipped away by the small stuff a final walkthrough catches: the inside of the oven, the tops of the blinds, the cabinet you forgot existed. Here's what property managers actually look at, and what a professional move-out clean covers.
The inspection hot spots
- Inside every cabinet and drawer. Empty isn't enough — they check for crumbs, liner residue, and dust.
- Appliances, inside and out. The oven interior and refrigerator shelves are the two most-flagged items on move-out inspections.
- Windows, blinds, and sills. Dust on blind slats reads as "not cleaned" instantly.
- Baseboards and door frames. The first thing an inspector's eye catches walking a bare, empty room.
- Bathrooms. Soap scum, water spots on fixtures, and the toilet base — they look where you don't.
- Floors last. Vacuumed carpet lines and streak-free hard floors signal a professional job.
What our Move-Out Clean includes
Klean Sweep's Move-Out Clean was built around exactly this inspection: interior windows, blinds and sills · ceiling fans and light fixtures · all baseboards · the inside of every cabinet and drawer · cabinet and drawer fronts · countertop and backsplash sanitizing · full bathroom sanitizing · interior and exterior of all appliances · and all floors swept, vacuumed, and mopped. Pricing starts at $199 for a one-bed, one-bath.
Three things to handle before we arrive
- Clear everything out. The clean happens after your belongings and trash are gone — that's when the missed spots become visible.
- Keep utilities on. No power and water means no proper clean. Schedule your shutoff for after the cleaning date.
- Book it before your final walkthrough — ideally the day after movers and a day or two before you hand over keys.
